Transcoding video

.
The spec lead for Java Server Faces, Ed Burns, over at Sun Microsystems has just released a bunch of fancy AJAX stuff and made some new screencasts that show how to pimp your web sites. He mentioned that he would like to transcode his .mov video files into .flv files ... well ... the way I did that recently for Ed was using ffmpegX on my wife's powerbook. I had been using ffmpeg on linux for a while, but ffmpegX is quite easy to install and use.

You might try giving it a whirl to make videos that you want to watch on your iPod, too.
