Sometimes these white backgrounds are just too much. So, I created a dark version of the default monobook skin for mediawiki. You can take a look at it in live action here.
And here is the download of the skin if you want to try it out. Just unzip it into your mediawiki/skins directory and put a copy of your logo at /mediawiki/skins/common/images/wiki_dark.jpg
Hey, man, I really like this, but I'd prefer for the style of my wiki that the text be white. Is there a way to change this in the monobookdark.css? I haven't found a trustable CSS editor for the wiki yet, and my specialties lie in more of the server software and setup than in web languages.
